Our Therapeutic Services for Children
We offer a range of child-centred therapies to support emotional, social, and developmental growth. Through play-based therapy, play-based learning, and nature therapy, we provide personalised care tailored to each child’s unique needs. Discover how our nurturing approach can create lasting, positive change.
Play-Based Therapy
Play-Based Therapy is rooted in the understanding that play is a child's natural way of expressing themselves, making it a powerful tool for learning, healing, and personal growth. In play-based therapy, the therapist creates a safe and supportive environment where children can explore their emotions and experiences through play. A variety of materials, such as toys, art supplies, and role-playing props, are provided to encourage self-expression and creativity. The therapist observes the child's play, offering guidance or support to help them process and better understand their feelings, experiences, and challenges in a way that feels natural and engaging.
Nature Therapy
Nature therapy, also known as ecotherapy or outdoor therapy, involves using nature and the outdoors as a means of promoting physical, mental, and emotional well-being. This can involve activities such as hiking, gardening, spending time in natural environments, and engaging with nature through sensory experiences such as sight, sound, and touch.
Play-Based Learning
Play-Based Learning is a child-led, developmentally responsive approach designed to support children with learning challenges by engaging them through meaningful, purposeful play. By combining evidence-based strategies with the natural language of children—play—this approach nurtures cognitive, social, emotional, and foundational learning skills. Through playful experiences tailored to individual strengths and needs, children build skills in areas such as communication, attention, and problem-solving. Play-Based Learning also supports the development of confidence, emotional regulation, and a lifelong love of learning. Ideal for children with learning differences such as dyslexia, ADHD, or Autism Spectrum Disorder, this approach recognises and celebrates each child’s unique way of understanding the world, empowering them to thrive.

Nurturing Life Connections
At Nurturing Life Connections, we provide capacity building for families and improved daily living for children. We also provide support for the whole family to assist your child to meet developmental milestones through a play-based approach. Along with therapy services, we provide functional capacity assessments for children in the age range of 0 to 12 years old.
Learn. Play. Explore.
In natural environments, children are also able to practice and master new skills through trial and error, as well as through play and exploration. For example, they may learn how to balance and coordinate their movements through climbing or running, or they may learn about spatial awareness and problem-solving through building structures or puzzles.
Overall, natural environments are full of rich and varied learning opportunities that can help children to develop a wide range of skills and abilities. They offer a supportive and engaging context for children to learn and grow in, and can be an important part of a child's overall development.
